If u were in the market to buy a brand new Two Tone Rolex sports watch, which would u choose: 116613 Blue Sub or 116713 Gmt MasterII??????? :thinking::banghead:

A few minutes ago I was just sitting here, watching the Braves play the Pirates in Pittsburgh. My son asked suddenly "Hey- what kind of watch is he wearing?"

Turns out the person in question was Pirates' Manager (coach?), John Russell. Lo, and behold, he was rockin' a SS Sub in the dugout in what would have been a stupendous screen capture. If I could do screen shots, that is LOL. Interesting to see one right in a game...

Which begs a question: anyone have pics of sports figures and Rolex? If you do, let's see 'em!

P.S: We're winning 8-0 in the bottom of the 3rd. GO BRAVES!!!!!!!

Blue vs Green Lume

Seems many of the newer Rolex watches are using blue lume. is this lume brighter than the older green, or is it just a color change. Any other advantages to the blue over green? Still undecided if i like the blue lume, as have gotten use to the older, and really like, green lume.

A new employee came in to drop off his employment paperwork before he heads out for one of our projects in Richland, WA next week. I was introduced to "Art" by our HR Director and realized I worked with Art 15 years ago here in CO at the old Rocky Flats site. That d�j� vu alone was pretty :coolanimated:

While we were talking I noticed he was wearing a gold Rolex Day/Date with a black dial! I continued the conversation :chill: on the outside, but was all :beardjump: on the inside!!!

Got a compliment today...

while in line at the DMV! I ran across my cousin who's with a gal pal and after the introduction, her friend goes ..."hmmm nice"! I smiled at her thinking that maybe my James Bond charisma hit her!:rocker: in which she replied, I like your Rolex!:dummy: I told her I was quite impress about her knowledge with Rolex! She then opened up her handbag and revealed a nice TT Lady Datejust! I asked her why it's not on her wrist and instead a plastic watch which she simply replied that it'll be back on her wrist as soon as they leave DMV!:thumbsup: I don't blame her for doing so especially with all those creepy characters at the DMV ( including myself )!!!:lol:

My Plan is starting to work

i see my substantial influence has now persuaded the owner of TKF to purchase a No-Date Rolex, and now getting the Admin to rush to a Rolex AD to try on a No-Date Rolex.

Now, with my influence, my 5 year plan starting to take effect. i believe with my influence, Rolex will be forced to stop production of all Date Feature Watches then in around 6 years, since nobody will be buying them anymore.

I think Clyde and Pete will the next ones to fold. Shady, Carl, and Hamilton have been tremendous in their subversive tactics.

Appolgies for this as i fear it may have been asked many times but here goes.

I bought my Rolex sub for many reasons but ultimatly to wear every day as a working watch. My last watch, Seiko was worn for 8 years everyday. Mountain biking , you name it i wore it. 8 Years later it looks pretty battered. Now i will not go those extremes with the sub & show some prudance but will wear it every day as a working watch.

Heres the question. I have been told that a major service will see the watch come back shiney & new. The one i bought was recently serviced & looks like new.

Is this true of the service.?

If it is, my plan is to just not worry about the knocks & wait for its service.

Hope that all made sence, seems to go on forever.:thinking:

Tried On Some Rolex Watches Without A Date Function

Tried on the Submariner 14060M and Explorer 114270 at the AD recently since all this talk about "no date" Rolex watches has made we wanting one...

I did not buy any Rolex this time but that 14060M sure looks nice! :worship:
