Last night at 9:50pm EST I reset the 312 and gave it a good winding. I wore it a bit today and when not being worn it sits in a wooden watch box I picked up for the 111, dial up.

After exactly 24 hours it has lost 4 seconds, so I'm happy that it is within COSC specks. I'm planning on checking it again tomorrow night after another 24 hours. Then I'll likely give it a month or so to settle in before checking the accuracy again.

One thing I have realized, a check of the 72 hour power reserve is going to require a lot of self control. I literally won't be able to touch the watch for 3 days as any movement could wind it a little, throwing off the results. So a power reserve test is going to have to wait... for a long while!!!!!!

    Cheers, Jeff

That's fine accuracy for a mechanical watch. Also, it probably will settle in for even better timekeeping results later on.

I am proud to say that I have the endurance and self control to test the power reserve on my 312
Mine stays running for right about 72 hours. The winding, however, it's like a never ending task...:loling::loling:

Just hit the 48 hour mark and now it's only behind by 3 seconds so instead of loosing 4 more over the last 24 hours it made one second back.

    Update!

Update...You're not going to believe me on this one.

I've noticed the 312's accuracy has really settled in now that I have had the watch for a little over two weeks. I have a spread sheet I created a while back to track accuracy of my watches. On 6/18/09 at 9:30 pm ET I reset the 312 to GMT (I gotta say having a hacking seconds hand is awesome), after 64 hours I just checked it and it is 1 Second fast!
