Hi! new to the forum and i hope experts can help me out. Just wondering if you can turn the crown clockwise to instantly change the date backwards. I am confused because i was told by a friend that you can only adjust the date forward otherwise you have to wind the hands to adjust the date backwards...is this true?? thanks in advance.

Only on the GMT-Master should you wind backwards to move the date back. For all other models, move the date forward only.

    Welcome to TKF!

As Jeff said, only on the GMT Master it's possible to adjust the date backwards.

However, it you CAN turn the hands both back and forward without harming the movement.
