Flipping this one today!
My older and now seldom used Luminox. Maybe not a "nice" watch, but a hearty little piece of kit!
Here's a couple of tired old ones.
Brilliant pics, Warren! :rocker:
Cool beaters, guys
Still own and use the G-Shock Riseman for insane activities or going to the local pool (like to keep my watch as clean as possible). Here are the pictures of it from a VERY old topic:
Super cool G Shock! Looks like a gadget you'd see on a space combat video game! Love it!
Thanks, Erwin. Yeah it is pretty much my favourite model from the G-Shock line. Never had any battery issues with it (some of them the batteries were defective a while back and not holding a charge properly from the solar panel around the LCD). I keep it at my bed head so it can get light and charge or keep the battery boosted during daylight hrs.
Very sturdy looking "beater", Rommel! Excellent pics, too!
Good to see you've kept your Gshock.
Thanks, Bo  That thing can handle the most intense of situations :yahoo:
Yeah funny thing is G-Shocks were my favourite back in the 3rd and 4th grade  Wore it just last night when I went swimming :yahoo: For going to the local pool it is much easier for me to use that (with the stopwatch feature etc) to take a beating and not care if it gets dirty. Just lather it with bath soap in the locker room and clean it off and its good to go.
I would wear my Rolex swimming though, but only if on holiday or away from home to put them away safely.
My Citizen Ti Ecodrive and Seiko Automatic Diver hanging out with a real beater and beaming with pride!
Those are nice Roger. I think I remember you purchasing one lately if I remember correctly. The lume on both of them is sweet!!
One of my beaters
No, I've had the EcoDrive for years, but you might be thinking the Seiko. Jim offered that up in the Christmas giveaway last year. It's really made me remember how much I like Seiko's! Well designed, classic styling and run like a tank!
@ Darren - I like the dial on the Accurist. The blue is nice.
@ Roger - That's it, the giveaway last year and what you got from Jim. Got it.
Thank you John, it's 22 years old.
Looks to be in great shape for being 22 years old.
Is it mechanical or quartz?
Quartz,,,,,,,it spends most of it's life in a draw. My job as a carpenter would break it in days, so I have a cheap timex for work. 22 years ago that watch cost me £150 so it was not so cheap then.
What a GREAT WATCH, Darren
Like John, really love the BLUE DAIL  and it is TT :rocker:
