Nicolas G Hayek (Swatch group CEO) want to stop supplying parts to competitors...but the autorities d'horlogerie suisse force him to supplied them till the end of 2010...

Is it the end of Unitas for Panerai???

ETA movements won't go in PAMs for much longer. This is the reason Panerai began developing their own in-house movements. Soon all PAMs will have in-house movements.

Or Panerai could use an alternative to the ETA's: Sellita.

Im of the opinion that once a company has started producing their own movements, it is only a matter of time before they replace all bought in movements for their own, cost wise I would imagine, but do not know, it would/should be cheaper once all the mechanisms for production are in place.

Then Panerai models using ETA like 000, 111, 112, 210, 183, etc will increase their value.

I think it is more likely that the models that replace them will be more expensive and marketed as all in house.

    ...and even more!!!

the 232 as well and the 127...the 217...all those great Panerai!!!

I heard that a lot of people have had problems with the in-house movements like the 310!

They better get hury to make reliable movements!
