Just found some nice comparison wristshots...

Rolex finally has a watch that completes with the size of a Panerai! :beardjump: Real nice comparison shots. IMHO the DSSD wins!
Yep, gotta agree, IMHO the DSSD.
DSSD wins hands down in this one to me....
Well, I like the simplicity on 312, so I go for 312.
I gotta go with the DSSD. Very nice.
I think you are comparing a diving watch and a daily wearer.
consider the PAM 243 1000 meter [44mm brushed steel]:
But they look like in the same size.
Both are hot. Is the DSSD bezel ceramic like the new subs or aluminum?
I would compare the DSSD to Blancpain Fifty Fathoms for it to be a fairer comparison. Otherwise definitely the 312 as the 7 lines of Rolex literature on the dial turn me offfffff (not counting the Swiss Made).
Thanks for the comparison Bo!
The DSSD bezel insert of made of ceramic AKA "Cerachrom" © in Rolex terminology.. You're spot on that it's the same thing as seen on the GMT IIc and new Sub Dates...
2 days ago I was able to compare the newer ceramic bezel inserts to the older aluminum ones and there certainly is a huge improvement aesthetically.
