I'm clearly out of touch lately with new watches...I was walking through my AD today and noticed this one, it certainly caught my eye and I knew nothing about it. It's not for me but an eye catcher nonetheless.

In speaking with the salesperson, they just put it out today.

That is the 40th anniversary of Apollo XVII (Commander Gene Cernan's Mission) model, or "last Man on the Moon Watch". The dial is a relief of the Mission patch. That's the Greek God Apollo, the American flag in the shape of an eagle, the earth, saturn, and I believe the body of water is reminiscent of Tranquility Bay.

It really is a work of art, that dial! I saw it last time I was at the Boutique. All hand done in silver. MSRP, I believe is $7400. Will have to look at it again, just to appreciate it more.

    Cheers,
    Carl

Good info. thanks! I believe you're pretty close on the MSRP.

You can barely see the chrono dials, and how in the world could you use them? This is strictly a commemorative piece. I saw it months ago at a special showing of all the new models from Basel, at a Boutique in North Jersey. I found it interesting, but , to put it politely, "a little much" . My OWN Speedy Pro is a "Last Man on the Moon" Watch 30th Ann. edition, and has the relief of the Mission patch on the case back. From the front, it's just another Speedy Pro, hesalite crystal, and all:

have to agree with Kat, neat watch but it really is something you put on a shelf to admire not to wear
