 I think it's a beauty! Although I would prefer it on a ss bracelet, but that is a beautiful rubber strap. Does it have a deployant clasp? I think it is a better looking dial layout than the current Chrono 300M, with the wavey dial:
OMEGA Watches: Seamaster 300 M Chrono Diver - Steel on steel - 213.30.42.40.01.001

It has the same dial layout as the new Planet Ocean 9300, which I really like, the date window being very unobtrusive at 6 o'clock.

I don't know anything about the 3301 movement, though, as far as reliability etc. It is too bad they discontinued it. I think it is also a great size at 41.5mm. A great size for someone who finds the PO 45.5mm chrono a bit too large.

Now, having said I like I have seen the wavey dial version, and have to admit it looks great as well. A Sales Associate at one of the local ADs has one, and I remember seeing it and commenting on it.

Personally, if I was in the market for a Seamaster Chronograph, and I could still get my hands on this model, I would go for it over the wavey one, though.

    Cheers

I like this traditional dial better than the newer models where they moved the subdials and placed the date window at 3:00.

I love the styling of it, but one thing of note. I have the same bezel on my Omega GMT Seamaster and it can be hard to grip and turn. The grip on these bezels with the large flat spots is not as good as the bezels with the coin edges.

Oh, and I have that same rubber strap on my GMT and it's awesome! Very well made and very comfortable.

I am not a big fan of the additional crown on the opposite side of the case, but for the most part that is an awesome looking piece. I like the hands, the markers, the dial and the little red hands too.

    I'm the exact opposite lol.

To me, the He valve at 10 o'clock is such a staple Omega design that I can't imagine a Seamaster Pro without one.

That is a beautiful watch, and a nice size too. It is basically the same as the 1948 Olympic that I owned for many years. There are many write ups on google about troubles with that movement in its early editions but I'm doubtful that any still exist. I never had any problems with mine.
It was my favorite for many years.

I personally don't get the concept of a chronograph on a dive watch, but I'm guessing you're a desk diver, like most of us. It's a great looking watch. Make sure you get a generous discount, since it's an older model. Nice find. Don't forget to post pics.
