Three-time Pro Bowl tight end Delanie Walker suffered a gruesome injury to his right leg Sunday night late in Tennessee’s loss in Miami and was carted off the field.

Titans coach Mike Vrabel said Walker was not in the locker room after their 27-20 loss Alex Goligoski Jersey , but their thoughts and prayers are with the veteran.

“It certainly didn’t look good from where I was standing,” Vrabel said.

Walker was the third Titans starter to leave the game with an injury. Two-time Pro Bowl left tackle Taylor Lewan left with a concussion, and quarterback Marcus Mariota was pulled with an elbow injury after a pair of interceptions in a game that lasted 7 hours and 8 minutes — the NFL’s longest since the league’s merger in 1970 with the AFL.

Vrabel said Mariota and the other Titans will be evaluated.

Three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen tried to play for the Carolina Panthers with a back injury only to wind up on the sideline on crutches wearing a walking boot on an injured foot. Olsen went to the locker room in the second quarter. He missed nine games last season with a fracture in his foot, though coach Ron Rivera said it wasn’t the same injury.

Jacksonville running back Leonard Fournette hurt his hamstring in the second quarter and never returned to the Jaguars‘ season opener. The Jaguars beat the Giants 20-15 without Fournette, who finished with 41 yards on nine carries and he also had three catches for 14 more yards before leaving the game.

Fournette led the AFC South champs with 1,040 yards rushing and nine touchdowns as a rookie last season. Originally, his return was questionable before he was ruled out in the second half.

“It’s something that he felt like, I know when I talked to him Brent Seabrook Jersey Kids , he’s had it before and knows how to treat it,” Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said of Fournette. “That makes things pretty optimistic whereas normally I’m not that optimistic.”

Seattle wide receiver Doug Baldwin was knocked out of the game against Denver with an injured right knee. He was hurt in the first quarter when a Denver player he was attempting to block rolled over his leg. He walked off under his own power and came back briefly before leaving the game. Baldwin missed all of August with a left knee injury.

In Los Angeles, Chargers right tackle Joe Barksdale was carted back to the locker room with a knee injury. Barksdale suffered the injury near the end of the Chargers’ third offensive drive of the first quarter.

Houston Texans right tackle Seantrel Henderson also was carted off the field in New England with a left ankle injury. Patriots defensive lineman Keionta Davis landed on Henderson’s ankle while trying to rush quarterback Deshaun Watson. Henderson was tended to on the field for a few minutes and then walked off under his own power.

After the training staff looked at him on the sideline, Henderson hopped on his right leg to a cart before being driven into the tunnel beneath the stands.

Henderson was hurt a few plays after Houston defensive lineman Christian Covington needed medical attention for a thigh injury. Cornerback Kevin Johnson also left with a concussion and did not return.

Patriots running back Jeremy Hill did not return after a knee injury with 12:09 left in the third quarter. He was hurt on a play where tight end Rob Gronkowski fumbled after a 25-yard catch. Hill was helped off the field and evaluated in the medical tent before returning to the locker room. He had four carries for 25 yards and was credited with a partial punt block.

In the tie between Pittsburgh and Cleveland , Steelers cornerback Joe Haden hurt his hamstring in the second half and didn’t return. Cleveland defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah returned after briefly leaving with an injured ankle.

Tampa Bay cornerback Vernon Hargreaves was helped to the locker room with a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter.

Bengals linebacker Preston Brown limped off the field late in the first half of a win in Indianapolis with an injured right ankle, and Cincinnati defensive tackle Andrew Billings also left with leg cramps late in the third quarter. The Colts lost cornerback Chris Milton in the second half with a concussion.

San Francisco wide receiver Marqise Goodwin hurt his right quadriceps in the first quarter and didn’t return in a loss to Minnesota. The 49ers also lost a pair of guards with Mike Person going down in the second quarter followed by his replacement Joshua Garnett in the third, both with left foot injuries. Linebacker Brock Coyle, filling in for Malcolm Smith because of an injury Ronnie Lott Jersey , hurt his head and neck in the fourth quarter. He was down for several minutes before walking off.

Minnesota cornerback Trae Waynes didn’t return after hurting his knee while ripping a deep pass away in the second quarter.

Bills cornerback Taron Johnson did not return to Buffalo’s loss to Baltimore after hurting a shoulder.

In games where the St. Louis Cardinals hit homers and pitch well, they generally walk off the field with a win.

But on nights where they can’t connect with the long ball, they don’t consistently make up for it with situational hitting or defense. Friday night’s 5-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves was another example of that trend rearing its ugly head.

After failing to cash in leadoff walks in the bottom of the first against Braves starter Julio Teheran, St. Louis simply couldn’t crack the code. It eventually caught up with the Cardinals as they were held to one run for their second straight game.

For St. Louis (42-38) to even the series Saturday night at Busch Stadium, the Cardinals will have to do a better job of converting runners in scoring position into runs while not giving up extra outs defensively. The Cardinals’ three errors Friday night marked their 17th multi-error game in 80 games.

St. Louis is on a pace to commit more than 130 miscues this year, continuing a three-season trend of below-average defense. Permitting good teams like Atlanta (46-34) four or five outs in an inning is a recipe for disaster.

The Braves started a 10-game road trip with a positive result. Third baseman Johan Camargo was the offensive star, going 3-for-5 with two runs and a two-run double off Jordan Hicks in the eighth that broke open a 1-0 game.

“Baseball is all about its ups and downs,” Camargo said. “For me Tyrone Crawford Jersey , it’s all about maintaining the focus and just staying the path.”

Atlanta essentially heeded Camargo’s credo, bouncing back from consecutive series losses against last-place teams Baltimore and Cincinnati. It will turn to left-hander Max Fried (0-2, 4.09 ERA) on Saturday to secure a series win.

Fried is replacing veteran right-hander Brandon McCarthy, who was put on the 10-day disabled list Thursday with a knee injury. A former first-round pick of San Diego, Fried will make his first start since going five innings and giving up one earned run on May 28 in a no-decision against the New York Mets.

It will be the second career appearance against the Cardinals for Fried, who last year tossed a scoreless inning in relief against them.

Right-hander Luke Weaver (4-6, 4.59) will look for his second straight win for St. Louis. Weaver shrugged off a rough first inning Sunday in Milwaukee to grab an 8-2 win, fanning a season-high nine over 5 2/3 innings while yielding two runs off five hits and two walks.

Weaver needed 32 pitches to make it through a two-run first inning Braden Smith Jersey , but started finding the range with his off-speed pitches. That made his fastball play bigger, and he rolled through the middle innings while the Cardinals bombed Jhoulys Chacin out of the box with five runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth.

“The first inning, it was like, ‘Here we go again.’ It means a lot for him to right the ship,” St. Louis manager Mike Matheny told mlb.com.

Weaver, who snapped a seven-start winless streak in Milwaukee, will make his first career appearance against the Braves.
