I came across a raging topic on a German watch forum. it seems that baking black Rolex inserts at 200 degrees Celcius for 1 minute transforms the insert color into the o so rare and desirable brownish/ rusty vintage look. Vintage Rolex collectors are panicking and the market for these inserts is in turmoil. This is no joke. The purpose of my post is not to gossip; but rather informative in nature and serves as a warning to vintage collectors. Watch out! I have included a link: http://www.rolexforum.nl/topic.php?id=17353 Hope my post is not in violation of the forum rules. In which case I apologize.
