Hello everyone, name is Chris and I own a red Submariner 1680. I was looking for model information online and found this forum to be very useful so I decided to join. Living in CT now but moving to MD shortly. I look forward to learning more!

    Thanks

Has been a daily worn watch since 1971. I don't get to wear it as much as I'd like to due to my job (mechanic). It's all original aside from the crystal and a few unseen innards, even the bracelet is original! I can't say I'm impressed with the reliability of the watch, but it was my Dad's so I will probably give it to my son, if I have one, some day.

European mainly. Worked for almost 7 years at a Jaguar specialty shop. We did full restorations all the way down to oil changes on daily drivers. I was mainly doing the mechanical and engine work on the newer stuff. I also somehow ended up being "the Audi guy" and did almost all of that work (awd very popular in CT).

Sweet ride mate! What are you driving now?

As for me, this is what I have:

    2001 Mercury Sable LS Premium.jpg

2001 Mercury Sable LS Premium - currently sitting in the shop now, for a vacuum hose (steering, I think)

    2003 Toyota RAV4 L and 2007 Honda Civic LX Coupe.jpg

    2003 Toyota RAV4 - daily driver

2007 Honda Civic LX Coupe - other daily driver, wife's car

I can't complain, all of these costs me a whooping $0. :rocker:

    1992 Acura Integra LS.jpg

    2006 Kia Spectra EX.jpg

These were my two old rides...the Teg was sold (big mistake, long story), and the Spec was totalled last year.

Oh man you sold the Integra? I hope they pulled a gun on you or something?! ;)

My current ride is a 2011 F150. My wife loves her 2003 Cavalier 4dr and won't get rid of it. I bought the truck as its much better for haulin dirt bikes around!

LOL yeah, I would think so...definitely more suited to towing stuff.

Nah, at the time, I was trying to help a mate out, since he didn't have a car...even sold it to him without getting all of the money upfront (I agreed to let him pay it out). Thus far, I have received $50, and that was three years ago!

This is what I get for trying to help other people out...:banghead:

Tell me about it...worst part is...he has a WRX now! So I know that he's not hurting for money.

Oh well, might as well chalk it up to a loss and move on.

Wait, the worst part is that he:

    1) Riced it out (it was completely stock)

    2) Traded it for a MkIV Supra (late 80's) that he got screwed on...basically, the other party gave him a crap car with a fake title, and took off with the Teg.

    Karma's a bitch sometimes...

I love Jaguars. I currently own a Mazda RX8 that I am rebuilding. I would love to own a Jaguar or an Audi hopefully by the end of the year. Welcome to the forum!
