Referring to the invitation that I got recently from my AD, Klarlund of Copenhagen, here are some pics from the event.

It was a GREAT experience to be able to join this very special and quite unique Officine Panerai event, arranged by Mr. Stig Andersen, managing director of Klarlund, and Hans Dekkers, brand manager of Officine Panerai.

The event was held at the "Kongelig Dansk Yachtclub" (= Royal Danish Yacht Club, AKA "KDY") which was an absolutely superb setting for this terrific arrangement that a total of 15 Paneristi attended to.

The event included a 7 (SEVEN!) course haute couture Italian dinner. What a treat! :drooling:

My special thanks goes to Mr. Dekkers and his lovely female assistant who presented the current Manifattura (Cal. 200X's) and Mr. Stig Andersen, who is just such a great and friendly man without whose effort this event would not have taken place.

First some pics from the rather posh neighbourhood, Tuborg Havnepark, to give you an idea of the settings. Note the very expensive apartments in the back:

Oh, and just inside the Kongelig Dansk Yachtclub an AD Rolex clock was hanging on the wall.

Now for some of the watches I tried on:

Two of the Paneristi owned the PAM203. Here you can see this stunner on my wrist. Quite an excellent investment, too, since the retail price of that timepiece was DKR. 135,000 when the watch was still availible but is now traded for up to DKR. 750,000 on the preowned market (divide by roughly 6 to get the US $ price):

    PAM00268 (Radiomir 8 Days, Cal. 2002/2003 mvt.):

PAM00233, the personal watch of Mr. Stig Andersen:

Same watch, just in 18 KT. gold (= PAM00289):

The man to the right of me at the table wore this beauty with the superb looking "California" dial:

PAM00317 (Ceramic 8 Days Chrono Monopulsante GMT). Note the blackened movement. :worship:

    PAM00270 (Ten Days GMT):

Here I'm trying on my absolute GRAIL Panerai watch of them all, the PAM00127 (1950 "Fiddy" case, 47MM): :drooling: :drooling:

The man who owned the PAM00127 let me have it on my wrist for a long time. Great gesture!

Here are some more pics of the PAM00127 on my wrist:

Compared with my Rolex Sea-Dweller, the PAM00127 with its 47MM case looked small!

Then I had a closer look at the PAM00276 (Tourbillion GMT). Also managed to take some pics of the tourbillion in action :worship: :worship:

    Mr. Dekkers:

Icing of the cake was this great surprise: All of us got a copy of this absolutely SUPERB coffee table Panerai book (only 6,500 copies worldwide!); of course signed by Mr. Dekkers. Note the Montblanc pen:

I hope you enjoyed the pics.

There were some other pictures up this morning on the Paneristi site and I though I recognized you in one of them. Looks like an awesome time, I'm so jealous!!!!!!!

That 276 is just amazing, and I must say you can pull off a 47mm watch pretty easily.

BTW as "friendliest Rolex forum Co moderator" do you get a demo Panerai watch now for free?

to swear off all Rolex stuff?

But I will give you that the Sea-Dweller is an excellent watch, no doubt about it. I also got quite a few positive comments on it during that evening.

     I wish.

Anyway, I asked the Panerai manager when he expects the PAM's with Cal. 900X to arrive, and he replied "launch mid May", but added that it could easily take longer time for them to appear in all countries.
