TOKYO Dak Prescott Jersey , April 3 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks ended 0.87 percent higher in the morning session of Thursday, with the Nikkei index hitting a fresh three-week high, boosted by better-than-expected U. S. employment data.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 130.14 points, or 0. 87 percent, from Wednesday to end the morning at 15,076.46, after climbing as high as 15,086.73, its highest intraday level since March 11.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 7.06 points, or 0.58 percent, to 1,218. 42. The Topix is on track to extend its winning streak to a ninth day.

The gain was led by paper and pulp, mining and precision machinery shares.

BEIJING, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Smog will hit some parts in north and central China starting from Sunday, China's national observatory warned, suggesting people in affected areas to make precautions.

The smog, which will hit Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Henan and Shaanxi, is expected to last until a cold front comes to the rescue around Thursday, the National Meteorological Center said.

People in the affected regions were asked to make precautions and choose public transport services to cut emissions and mitigate pollution.

Severe smog triggered red alerts in more than 20 cities at the beginning of 2017. When authorities issue red alerts, some manufacturers are required to cut production, and heavily polluting vehicles are banned from the roads.

China has a four-tier color-coded warning system for severe weather, with red being the most serious, followed by orange, yellow and blue.

In environment inspections last year, the Ministry of Environmental Protection said a total of 720 people were detained and 6,454 held accountable for environment-related wrongdoing.

In 2016, the government refused 11 high-pollution and high-energy consuming projects, involving total investment of 97 billion yuan (about 14 billion U.S. dollars).

Partly due to those efforts, Chinese cities reported less pollution in 2016, with the average density of PM 2.5 -- fine particles that pose health risks -- in 338 cities falling by 6 percent.

China is aiming for a 10-percent reduction in air emissions from 2012 levels by 2017 in cities at the prefecture level and above. Meanwhile, the PM 2.5 density in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province should drop 25 percent.

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that a controversial memo attacking federal law enforcement written by congressional Republicans vindicates him in the investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 US presidential election.

Trump's embrace of the memo raised again the prospect that he could use it as justification to fire special counsel Robert Mueller, who is conducting the investigation, or Deputy Attorney Rod Rosenstein, who oversees Mueller.

Tweeting from his resort in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump said the memo "totally vindicates" him but added "the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on. Their (sic) was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction." He called the investigation "an American disgrace."

The White House has said there will be no changes at the Justice Department as a result of the memo's conclusions.

The memo, written by Republicans on the US House of Representatives Intelligence Committee chaired by Devin Nunes, argues that the federal investigation of potential collusion between Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and Russia was a product of political bias against Trump at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Justice Department.

Trey Gowdy, the Republican chairman of the powerful House Oversight committee, disagreed with Trump and said the memo has no impact on the Russia probe.

Gowdy, who said this week that he will not run for re-election in November, said the Russia investigation would exist regardless of a dossier that the memo says the FBI received from a source who was strongly biased against Trump.

"So there's going to be a Russia probe, even without a dossier," said Gowdy.

Trump approved the release of the formerly classified memo without redactions, despite objections from the FBI in a move that deepened tension between the White House and senior law enforcement that has existed since Trump took office.

Democrats contend the four-page memo mischaracterizes highly sensitive classified information and was intended to undermine the Mueller criminal probe that was launched in May 2017 as an outgrowth of an earlier FBI investigation.

BEIJING, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi will visit the United States from Feb. 8 to 9, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang announced Monday.

Yang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, was invited by U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Geng said in a press release.

He said that both China and the United States have recently expressed willingness to maintain and further strengthen contacts and exchanges in various aspects.

During the visit, Yang will exchange views with the U.S. side on China-U.S. relations and international and regional issues of common concern, Geng said.

MAPUTO, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Mozambique's anti-corruption authorities on Tuesday initiated here a trial of 28 officials who allegedly diverted 2.7 million U.S. dollars from the national fund for agriculture.

Setina Titosse, the kingpin of the alleged fraud, is the former managing director of the Agriculture Development Fund (FDA). She was arrested soon after the anti-corruption bureau gathered evidence of her crimes.

Titosse was accused of involvement in approving fictitious agriculture projects. Since most did not exist or were partly implemented, the money was late. http://cheapauthenticjerseyscollege.com/ Wholesale Jerseys From China Wholesale Sports Jerseys Wholesale Authentic NCAA Jerseys Wholesale Nike NBA Jerseys Wholesale College Basketball Jerseys Wholesale NBA Jerseys China Cheap NCAA Jerseys Free Shipping Wholesale NBA Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Wholesale
